The piece is comprised of thirty-five images of semaphore spelling out So long, Farewell, Auf Wiedersehen, Goodbye documenting a performance over two days in May 2012. Each word was shot at a different location in Death Valley, California, from the bottom of Ubehebe Crater and Zabriskie Point to Badwater (officially the hottest place on Earth).
